Welcome to the Guidance Office!  We are here to help you in planning your future right here at Pacifica High School.  Our mission is to prepare for college and the world of work by pointing you in the right direction in taking the right classes, helping you plan the next tasks ahead, and monitoring your progress towards graduation.

Our office has a multitude of information regarding colleges and universities, vocational and technical schools, testing pamphlets, and even scholarship and job opportunities.  Stop by our office in the C building and see how our office can help you achieve your goals – or help you define them.

This website also has online links to college applications, scholarships, and information about succeeding now and in college.  Feel free to explore and discuss whatever you find with your counselor.

How to Get to College!

Just follow the simple steps here...

Step 1

Complete your UC/CSU A-G requirements (and do well in all of your high school courses!).

Step 2

Take your SAT or ACT (or whatever other tests the colleges you are planning to apply to require).

Step 3

Start applying to colleges. UC/CSU open their application periods in October. If you are applying to out-of-state or private colleges, make sure you watch carefully for their application period opening date!

Step 4

Do well in your senior year classes - don't slow down! You MUST finish your senior year classes with NO D's or F's!

Step 5 – All done!
